Common Questions

How many images do you shoot at a wedding?

I don’t like to put an exact number on client galleries but more of a ballpark estimate. I generally deliver between 75-100 finished images per hour.  So for a 10 hour wedding expect to receive around 750-1000 polished images from your wedding day.

Can you hold our date?

Unfortunately I cannot, LTI takes a limited amount of clients per year and cannot hold a date until a retainer and signed contract have been received.

Where are you located?

Lemon Twist Images is located in the NW Suburbs of Chicago.

Are you available for destination weddings?  Do you charge a travel fee?

Travel is one of my greatest passions.  I can travel both stateside and internationally with passport ready to go.  If your wedding is outside of the greater Chicagoland area, and within the continental U.S. I charge for round trip flights (or gas/mileage) and accommodations for 2-3 nights.  Internationally I invoice for round trip flight, 3-4 nights accommodations and vehicle rental if needed.  No matter how far you end up going, I would love to be there documenting the journey.

Where can I view my wedding images?

Your images are hosted in an online gallery to share with friends and family for one year.  You will also receive all edited images on a USB drive inside a gorgeous heirloom wooden box with select prints from your wedding day.

How long until we can see our photos?

During the heart of wedding season the average time it takes to edit your images, process and upload is 4-6 weeks.

Do you have Insurance?

Yes, yes and yes!!  It is also one of the most important questions you need to ask your vendors.  Proof of insurance can be presented at any time, just ask!

How far in advance do you book?

On average, LTI books 9-12 months out

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Absolutely!  The images produced from an engagement session are perfect for display around the home, wedding guest books, save-the-dates, and Holiday cards.  Having an engagement session is an important time for us to get to know each other.  I will get the chance to see how you and your fiancé interact with each other, find the most flattering angles for you, and you get a feel for how I work.  75% of LTI couples choose to have an engagement session.

Do you turn down weddings?

It’s so important that we’re a good fit.  A majority of your wedding day will be spent with your photographer, so we must mesh well as a team and be on the same page.  I am NOT the photographer for everyone and that’s ok.  Please review my portfolio to see if your style expectations match my own photographic style.  Ideally for an initial consultation we’d go out for coffee or lunch help us get to know one another and if we’re the right fit.  If we’re not able to meet in person, Skype or phone conversations also work out well.

Can I upgrade my package after I book?

Definitely, it’s important to get the date booked with LTI first and foremost, after that engagement sessions, albums, additional album spreads and extra hours can all be added to your Collection.
